Spotsylvania County is over 400 square miles in size.
The population is approximately 90,000 and is one of the fastest growing counties in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The Patrol Division is headed up by a Captain and three Lieutenants and approximately 60 sworn deputies assigned to six different squads. Each squad has a First Sergeant a Sergeant, 6 patrolmen and a K-9 officer.
The uniform patrol work permanent 12 hours shifts consisting of days, evenings and midnight's.
